Rod now has the opportunity to continue to fight for some compensation, some justice for all taxi and hire car owners who were dealt a very severe blow when the 2017 Commercial Passenger Industry reforms were undertaken.
He has been able to secure meetings when parliament returns in February 2021, with the Victorian Treasurer - Tim Pallas, Minister for Transport Infrastructure - Jacinta Allan, and Minister for Transport - Ben Carroll, all to speak about this cause. Let's hope that Rod's arguments and assertiveness are received well by all parties, and that we can finally report some good financial news to industry stakeholders. My late husband, Alan Munro, was a taxi man, through and through! His Father, I.R. (Snowy) Munro started Embassy taxis.
