Cleaning and Sanitisation Grants
Victoria's Department of Transport has announced the details of this grant.

Eligibility
All BSPs, including operators/drivers who are exempt from registering as a BSP with CPVV due to only operating 1 or 2 vehicles, ARE ELIGIBLE to apply for a Cleaning Support Grant.

CPV owners and drivers whose vehicle receives bookings through a BSP are NOT ELIGIBLE for this grant, as your BSP has been told to support you through the grant that they will receive.
Payments will be scaled according to the business size of the applicant. Grant monies are to be used for the purchase of cleaning and sanitisation products, including alcohol-based hand sanitisers for vehicles.
  • Major BSPs will receive a $300,000 grant.
  • For non-major BSPs and independent owner-operators, each grant will be between $250 and $37,500 scaled according to the BSP size

Funding Agreement
  • Large BSPs will be required to sign a Funding Agreement with the Department of Transport prior to receiving payment.
  • All other recipients will receive rules that must be adhered to with regards to the spending of your allocated funding assistance.

Survey is located at: https://getinvolved.transport.vic.gov.au/cpv-grants.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your query. We have sent a letter to the Department of Transport asking for clarification of who is and isn't eligible for the cleaning and sanitisation grant. We shall post an update as soon as we receive an answer.

Apologies if this has been addressed, I do not recall seeing information on how do we apply or register for these grants? (When they become available!)
