Maurice Blackburn has filed a class action against Uber on behalf of participants in the taxi, hire car, limousine and charter vehicle industry. This class action was introduced in response to losses suffered by drivers, licence owners, and operators, when Uber entered the Australian market.

SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING AGENDA ITEM
The Executive Committee of the Commercial Passenger Vehicle Association of Australia Inc. (CPVAA) has determined that its mission is shared by parallel groups in other states, and that it is appropriate to organise on a national level. As such, it is appropriate to change the name of the association to Transport Alliance Australia - Victoria.
That Commercial Passenger Vehicle Association of Australia Inc. be renamed to Transport Australia Alliance - Victoria.
No other business will be tabled at this meeting.
All current financial members are entitled to vote on this Special Resolution.
